Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu on Thursday said the government will set up an 'Agor industrial park' in Moulvibazar to utilise its potential in the export market, reports UNB.
The minister said this while addressing the inaugural ceremony of a two-day annual conference of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) at Uttara's Small & Cottage Industries Training Institute (SCITI) auditorium.
"The present government has taken the policy of balanced development utilising the area-based raw materials and potentials. One hundred economic zones are being established across the country to achieve the target," he said.
Land will be allotted for setting up BSCIC industrial estates where there is no such estate under the economic zones.
At least 200 officials of BSCIC participated in the conference.
