Akter Parvez, Managing Director of PHP Automobiles Ltd., is a genuine visionary of his business. He has the ability to see the past, present and future and with that capacity, he has contributed his potential to achieve the goals of the PHP family in totality as one of the largest conglomerates in Bangladesh.
PHP Family comprises over 30 companies that are operating in diversified business sectors. Mr Parvez oversees his company budget of more than Tk 900 million and is responsible for overall management of regular staff of 100 plus and more than 1200 seasonal employees.
Mr Parvez is passionate about taking the challenge to make losing or less profitable business concern into a profitable enterprise following proper guidelines.
He has successfully led the PHP Family in the share and bond market. Having a keen interest in this sector, he is a TREC holder of both Chittagong and Dhaka stock exchanges and established six branch offices all over the country.
With a dream to be a pioneer in the automobile manufacturing industry in Bangladesh, Mr Parvez took the challenge to set up the first car assembling plant in the country as a private organisation in collaboration with Proton Malaysia. Besides, the organisation is also involved in assembling two-wheelers.
Besides assembling Proton vehicles, he also runs a full-fledged RND Team comprising many expert engineers of automobiles industries, aiming to produce first commercial electric vehicles in the country. Few prototypes vehicles have already been manufactured by the RND team under the direct supervision of Mr Parvez.
To improve those electric vehicles, he is now working with Lithium ION Technology. He visualises that Bangladesh will be a pollution-free country with the mass use of electric vehicles within the next decade.
An involved community member, Mr Parvez has also been active in promoting education, sports and spiritualism among the young generation with a focus on development and building a healthy society. He is actively involved in many philanthropic organisations.
Born and brought up in Chattogram, Mr Parvez is the youngest son of Alhaj Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman, a prominent business leader of the country who was awarded Ekushey Padak 2020 for his social activities.
After obtaining graduation in Business Communication from the University of Canberra, Australia, in 2004, he joined his family business.
