Al-Arafah Islami Bank appoints AMD

Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan
Al-Arafah Islami Bank (AIB) PLC appointed Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan as additional managing director (AMD) and chief risk officer recently.
He has more than 30 years of experience and expertise in the banking industry. Prior to joining the bank, he served as deputy managing director (DMD), CRO and CAMLCO at NCC Bank PLC.
Mr Rafat started his banking career as a probationary officer of the first batch at Eastern Bank PLC in 1994. Later he held leading positions at BRAC Bank, Dutch Bangla Bank and Prime Bank.
He encompasses a diversified career in different sectors of banking such as credit risk management, corporate banking, product development and process & policy making in both Islamic and conventional banking.
He pursued his post-graduation in Statistics from University of Dhaka. Besides, he also obtained an MBA degree from a reputed private university. He attended numerous seminars and workshops both at home and abroad including Nepal, Thailand and UAE.
