Al-Arafah Islami Bank provides Tk 1.0m to DU Statistics Department

Al-Arafah Islami Bank has provided Tk 1 million for the construction of a Data Analytics and Service Centre at the Department of Statistics at Dhaka University (DU). The bank's Managing Director (Current Charge) Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan handed over a cheque for the amount to Vice-Chancellor of the university Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan at a ceremony held at the VC's conference room on Sunday. The event was attended by the DU Treasurer Prof Dr. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, National University Pro-VC Prof Md. Lutfar Rahman, Chairman of the Department of Statistics Prof Dr. Zafar Ahmed Khan, Convener of the Building Construction Committee Prof Sayma Sharmin and the bank's Deputy Managing Directors Md Abdullah Al Mamun and S. M. Abu Zafar.
