Apps Innovation summit ends with top teams announcement


The bdapps Innovation Summit 2025, organised by Robi Axiata PLC to promote local innovation and drive digital transformation, concluded in Dhaka on Tuesday night with the announcement of the top teams.
The competition provided developers from across Bangladesh with the opportunity to create innovative apps and join the bdapps community - the country's largest local app store.
At the gala closing ceremony at a city convention center, the Top 10 finalist teams pitched their ideas to an audience of industry leaders and judges. Dr. Chashi clinched first place, Chithi.me came second, and ShooterX secured third. Prizes were handed over to the winners by Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Chairman Major General (Retd) Md Emdad Ul Bari, BTRC Vice-Chairman Md Abu Bakar Siddique, Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Robi M Riyaaz Rasheed, and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Shihab Ahmad.
Other finalists included NerdBro, PawBuddy, Barta, Shikhi AI, DietKoach, LeafMed, and AceIT.
In his speech, Emdad Ul Bari said the digital lifestyle is evolving every day.
He further said to keep pace with the evolution, the country must develop local apps that meet its own needs. He expressed thanks to Robi for creating opportunities for talented developers.
Acting CEO of Robi Axiata PLC, M Riyaaz Rasheed, in his speech said to survive and thrive in the world of tomorrow, there is no alternative to technology.
He further said, "The more our young generation embraces technology and gets opportunities to develop their talents, the more assured our progress will be. This summit was designed to give talented youth across the country the chance to develop practical apps and share them widely."
The 2025 summit began in May with a nationwide roadshow, attracting more than 1,300 online submissions in sectors such as agriculture, digital education, gaming, and animal welfare. Participants included university students, freelancers, and other creative innovators.
From these entries, 25 ideas were shortlisted for a pitching round, with the Top 10 advancing to the final stage.
