Asean central banks to implement monetary policy

YANGON, Apr 2 (Xinhua): Vice-Governors of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) member states' central banks have met in Nay Pyi Taw to discuss cooperation in implementing monetary policy and Asean banking services in line with ASEAN monetary affairs framework, state media reported Wednesday.
Chaired by Myanmar, the 22nd Asean Conference of Vice Governors of Central Bank Meeting was opened at the Myanmar Convention Centre Tuesday.
The outcome of the meeting will be submitted to the Asean Central Bank Governors' Meeting slated for Friday.
Meanwhile, the 18th Asean Finance Ministers' Meeting (AFMM) is also underway in the Myanmar capital for three days since Tuesday focusing on over 20 topics including financial cooperation among the Asean countries and establishment of Asean Economic Community.
