Bangladesh in near future will be one of the largest e-commerce market places in Asia but achieving trust of customers is the biggest factor in attaining such success.
"In sync with the flourishing digitisation of the developed world, e-commerce is now becoming very popular in Bangladesh and customers' trust will be a defining factor to reach a new height", a statement of Daraz.com, an e-commerce site said.
Daraz.com offers e-commerce products in many countries including Bangladesh, Pakistan and Myanmar.
The company's chairman & co-founder, Sumeet Singh and the head of marketing, Kavish Barapatre said it started journey in Bangladesh at the end of 2014.
According to 2014 statistics, the number of internet users in Bangladesh was almost 45 million and the number of mobile phone users was more than 120 million.
"All these statistics, 3G internet facilities as well as the possibility of working with the same strategies as the neighboring country India has mainly inspired daraz.com.bd to initiate its operations in Bangladesh," the statement added.
"Basically Daraz is not like other e-commerce sites, we have created an open internet platform here, which is the first of its kind in Bangladesh where consumers will get all necessary products, but surely original products from new and specific brands," said Kavish Barapatre.
