An agreement has recently been signed between Bangladesh Bank and Mercantile Bank PLC to provide low-interest loans to entrepreneurs under the cluster. Nowshad Mostafa, Director of SMESPD Department of Bangladesh Bank and Dr. Md. Zahid Hossain, Deputy Managing Director and CBO of Mercantile Bank signed the agreement. The event was also attended by Nurun Nahar, Deputy Governor of BB, and Mohammad Nizamul Hoque, SVP & Head of SME Financing Division of Mercantile Bank.
