Bangladesh, Nepal sign tax treaty

Bangladesh and Nepal signed a Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) on Tuesday to enhance business and investment between the two countries.
National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan and Revenue secretary of Nepal Lal Shankar Ghimire attended the agreement signing ceremony in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, said a statement of the NBR.
As per the tax treaty, investors and traders of both the countries will not have to pay taxes twice for the same income in Nepal or Bangladesh.
The NBR has signed such agreement with 35 countries.
