Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) has prepared an international standard 'Business Register' for the first time using the data of economic census with an aim to building a complete central information hub about the country's established business entities.
Disclosing this at a seminar Sunday, project director Dildar Hossain said the hub will help the government frame economic plan, reports BSS.
State Minister for Finance and Planning MA Mannan attended the seminar as the chief guest, while statistics and Information Management Division secretary Nazibur Rahman and acting DG of BBS Md Baitul Amin Bhuiyan were special guests.
The state minister said the government has made much progress in building a central information hub. The business register will contain important information about all established business entities, he added.
