BCI gets new president

Evince Group Chairman Anwar-Ul Alam Chowdhury has been elected President of the Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI) for a two-year term, says a statement.

Md. Helal Uddin, Director of Ittefaq Industrial Corp. Ltd. and former vice-president of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has been elected Senior Vice-President.

Priti Chakraborty, Chairman of Universal Medical Collage & Hospital Ltd. and Director of FBCCI was elected Vice-President.

Anwar-Ul Alam Chowdhury is also a former president of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).

Other office-bearers of were elected uncontested in the BCI election held in the city on Monday.
