RANGPUR, Sept 20 (BSS): The authority of Barapukuria Coal Mining Company Limited (BCMCL), a subsidiary company of Petrobangla, Sunday paid Tk 2.0million income tax at Income Tax Fair here on Sunday.
Commissioner of Taxes for Rangpur Zone Animesh Roy received the cheque for Tk 2.0 million as advance income tax on the fair premises from Income Tax Adviser of BCMCL Md Abu Ishaque.
Additional Commissioner of Taxes for Rangpur Zone Shahid Kabir, Assistant Commissioners of Taxes Shamsul Alam, Nur-e-Alam and Rezaul Karim, and Senior Reporter of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Mamun Islam were present, among others.
After receiving the cheque, Animesh Roy thanked the BCMCL authority for paying the big amount of income tax and hoped that the example would inspire others in paying their income taxes in the fair.
Talking to the news agency on the occasion, Mr Roy expressed satisfaction over spontaneous payment of income taxes by the eligible citizens so far since inaugural day of the weeklong Income Tax Fair from September 16.
