BCS ICT World 2014 starts tomorrow

The country's biggest exhibition on computers and cell phones 'BCS ICT World 2014' will kick off at Jamuna Future Park on Thursday.

Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith is expected to inaugurate the 10-day event as chief guest while Zunaid Ahmed Palak will be present as special guest.

Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) is organising the exhibition from February 27 to March 8 at the Jamuna Future Park.

The organisers declared at a press conference on Tuesday that they had completed their all out preparation to make the fair successful.

BCS president Mustafa Jabbar described details of the fair at the press conference.

The event will be open from 10:00am to 8:00pm every day. Entry fee has been fixed at Tk20. But the students will be able to enter the fair by just showing their identity cards.

In the event, different technology products of the renowned ICT (Information Communication Technology) firms from home and abroad will be displayed which will create opportunity for the visitors to explore the latest products and trends in ICT.

The organisers mentioned that following participation of different global brands, people will have variety of choice and enjoy cash discount on different IT products.

Various kinds of events like seminar, quiz contest, virtual sports competition, web fair and children art competition will be held on the sidelines of the fair.

BCS secretary general Shahidul Munir and representatives of the sponsor companies were also present at the press conference.
