BD to participate in MOS World Championship 2015 contest

For the first time, Bangladesh is going to  take part in the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) World Championship 2015, an international talent hunt competition on MS office package. Registration for the competition started in the city on Saturday like many other countries. The disclosure was made at a programme on BSB Cambrian Collage Pragati Sarani Campus in the capital. Principal of Cambrian School and College Md Golam Mostafa, Managing Director of Digicon Wahid Sharif, Consultant Gourab Gupta and Managing Director of Cool Exposure Mehedi Hasan Mithun, among others, attended the programme, according to a statement.  

MOS is a prominent IT contest which is arranged by Certiport, an international examination monitoring organisation. DigiLearn, an IT firm, in association with Cool Exposure has arranged the competition to hunt the talents from Bangladesh to take part at the international event. According to the sources, final competition of MOS will be held on August 9 -12 at Dallas in the USA where contestants from different countries will compete. Students aged 13 to 22 can register their names through online. Gourab Gupta informed that the registration process will continue till May 15. The registered contestants will be given a special training about the pattern of the questions, he said adding Certiport will hold an examination to find out the finalists from Bangladesh. Contestants must be skilled at MS Office or MS Excel software, Mr  Gupta said.
