BD trade delegation reaches Brazil

A Bangladeshi trade delegation has officially touched down in Brazil to launch a strategic mission aimed at transforming the nation's agriculture and livestock sectors.
The 10-day Brazilian Trade Mission, which commenced on April 20, brings together over 200 delegates from Bangladesh, various African nations, and Brazil.
The mission is designed to explore untapped investment opportunities and forge technical partnerships between the regions.
The event is jointly organised by the Brazilian Association of Zebu Breeders (ABCZ), Brazilian Cattle, and AgroTrip.
Key participants from Bangladesh include prominent livestock and agro-processing entrepreneurs, agricultural scientists and researchers, and industry policy experts.
Brazilian entrepreneurs reportedly pledged significant support to the visiting delegation, focusing on technology transfer and sharing advanced genetic techniques for cattle breeding, agro-processing with investing in infrastructure to improve Bangladesh's value-added food production, and knowledge exchange with direct collaboration between scientists to boost livestock productivity.
The delegation is expected to visit several cattle breeding facilities and processing plants over the next week to finalise preliminary investment agreements.
