Better demand observed for clean tea

A better demand was noticeable for clean tea which were sold more readily than last, Medium tea were once again a lower market while the plain end of season types were very difficult of sale. Blenders lent a fair support while there was a little more interest from the Loose tea buyers. Pakistan buyers were very selective and operated between Tk 50 and Tk 65. Dusts were an easier market with a little more withdrawals than last,  National Brokers Limited press release said.

CTC LEAF: 41,650 packages of tea on offer met with a slightly improved demand with a little less withdrawals.

BROKENS/FANNIGS: A small weight of clean tea on offer met with a good demand and were occasionally dearer following competition, the best Invoices selling between Tk 185 and Tk 195. Other varieties met with a slightly better demand but generally declined by Tk 5 to T'k 8  with fair withdrawals. Plain mid poor types were again very difficult of sale and witnessed heavy withdrawals.

CTC DUST: 7,757 packages of tea on offer met with a fair demand. Good liquoring varieties again met with more competition and were firm to slightly dearer particularly the CDs. All others were mostly a lower market and eased upto  Tk10. Howevor, end of season types were again neglected by the buyers. Both Blenders and Loose tea buyers, lent a fair support.
