Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation provisionally posted a net profit of about Tk. 1.85 billion (185.02 crore) in the fiscal year 2014-2015. During the fiscal year, BHBFC sanctioned Tk.311.21 crore and disbursed Tk. 271.73 crore with the part of that of the previous year. In the fiscal year 2013-2014, the sanctioned and disbursed amounts were Tk. 285.18 and 388.90 crore respectively. In the fiscal year 2014-2015 the recovered amount was Tk. 482.96 crore while the recovered amount was Tk. 459.18 crore in fiscal year 2013-2014. The rate of increment of recovery is 5.18 per cent. The present rate of classified loan is about 5.92 per cent against 7.14 per cent in 2013-2014. Current outstanding balance of the state-owned entity is Tk 3,026.50 crore, which was Tk 2,974.73 crore in the previous year. The status of loan recovery has improved significantly. — Statement
