President of the Bangladesh Insurance Association Sheikh Kabir Hossain handed over a cheque Thursday to prime minister Sheikh Hasina for the Prime Minister’ s Relief Fund at her office.
Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA) on Thursday donated Tk 5 million (50 lakh) to the Relief and Welfare Fund of the Prime Minister, reports UNB.
President of the Association Sheikh Kabir Hossain handed over a cheque for the donation to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office.
Briefing reporters, PM's press secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhuri said Vice President of the Association Ahsanul Islam Titu and General Secretary Enamul Haq Khan were, among others, present.
Meanwhile, State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Maleque also personally donated Tk 10 lakh to the Relief and Welfare Fund of the Prime Minister.
Rubina Hamid, a relative of the State Minister, was also present.
