Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC) successfully conducted a two-day training programme on 'Workplace Conflict Resolution: Strategies, Practical Tools, and the Role of ADR and BIAC Rules' at its venue in Dhaka recently, says a statement.
This programme was designed to enhance workplace harmony and improve productivity by promoting various conflict resolution strategies, including Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) techniques.
At the training, the effectiveness of these tactics in handling disagreements and settling problems at work was emphasised.
The programme focused on the importance of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in creating productive workplaces and equipping professionals with the necessary abilities to resolve disputes amicably and cooperatively.
A diverse group of 29 participants attended the training, including HR managers, government officials, advocates, and executive officers.
Trainers Tahniyat Ahmed Karim and Jahrat Adib Chowdhury led the sessions, offering insights based on their extensive experience in conflict management.
The training was divided into two engaging modules. The first day provided participants with hands-on experience, where they applied conflict resolution strategies to real-life case studies and interactive problem-solving exercises.
The second day concentrated on the application of ADR techniques in resolving workplace conflicts, delving into the different types of workplace disputes, their underlying causes, challenges, and effective resolution methods.
The programme concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, where BIAC Vice Chairman Muhammad A. (Rumee) Ali presented certificates to the participants.
In his closing remarks, Rumee Ali encouraged the participants to apply the knowledge and skills they had acquired to foster a more harmonious and productive work environment within their respective organisations.
