Severe flood, triggered by incessant rainfall in the last several days, has inundated low-lying areas of the southeastern district, including Fatikchhari and Hathazari upazilas.
The flood has caused immense suffering to the people of those areas and damaged properties worth millions of taka.
It has rendered hundreds of families marooned in the two upazilas.
Considering the widespread destruction and human sufferings, the BIFFL took the decision to distribute relief materials among the affected people.
As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, BIFFL gave away relief goods (basic food stuff) to 500 families marooned by the flood in Fatikchhari and Hathazari.
