Biman Bangladesh Airlines has decided to increase the frequency of its flights from Dhaka to Toronto from October 31 this year.
Currently, Biman runs two flights a week on the route -- one flight on Tuesday and the other on Saturday.
From October 31, an additional weekly flight on the Dhaka-Toronto-Dhaka route will be operated every Thursday, said a Biman press release on Wednesday.
Sales of tickets for these flights have been opened at all of Biman's ticket sales and distribution channels.
There will be a special discount offer for the passengers of Thursday flight, the press release added.
The route will be served by the state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
Travellers will be able to purchase tickets through Biman's commercial website (www.biman-airlines.com), its mobile apps, call centre at 13636, all Biman's sales centres and authorised travel agencies.
Biman operated the first test flight on the Dhaka-Toronto route on Mar 26, 2022. The national carrier then began operating commercial flights on the route from July 27 of that year.
