The government has relieved Sheikh Bashir Uddin from the post of Chairman of Biman Bangladesh Airlines following his resignation, according to an official notification.
A gazette notification issued on Wednesday by the Biman-1 branch of the Ministry of Civil Aviation said Sheikh Bashir Uddin has been released from his responsibilities as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Biman Bangladesh, reports BSS.
On February 16, the then adviser of civil aviation and tourism ministry Sheikh Bashir Uddin submitted his resignation from the post of Chairman of the national flag carrier.
He had been appointed Chairman of the state-owned airline through a government notification issued on August 26 last year.
