After a long interval of almost 7 years, Biman Bangladesh Airlines resumes its operations to Frankfurt, the bustling city of Germany, from the 31st March.
Biman will operate twice-a-week flights to this newest destination on every Friday and Monday.
Flight BG 055 will leave Dhaka on Friday and Monday at 10:00am for Frankfurt and arrive there at 1840 local time. Similarly flight BG 056 will leave Frankfurt at 2010 local time to arrive Dhaka at 13:00 hour local time on the same day.
The inaugural flight will witness a lot of fanfare and festivity. A host of guests will fly to Germany on the inaugural day when the airline operates its newly-inducted Boeing 777-300ER.
Frankfurt came under Biman's wings in 1986 and Biman had serviced the sector for more than 19 years at a stretch.
The flight was suspended in 2006 in the wake of aircraft constraint. Now with the acquisition of new aircraft, the airline is considering resumption of flights to places where it had presence in the past.
To mark this occasion, Biman is offering a hefty discount of 50 per cent for the customers, who would make it convenient to book themselves on the said flights till 18 March, 2014.
