Bitopi Group to invest $9.58m in RMG plant

M/s. Sonar Manufacturing Limited, a sister concern of Bitopi Group, is going to establish a readymade garments industry in Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ) with an investment of US$ 9.58 million, reports BSS.

This fully Bangladeshi owned company will produce 2.93 million pieces of woven and knit (Jacket, Bottom) garments per annum.

A total of 1,551 Bangladeshi nationals will get employment opportunity in the factory, said a press release.

Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s. Sonar Manufacturing Limited signed an agreement to this effect at BEPZA Complex here today.

Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA Ali Reza Mazid and Managing Director of M/s. Sonar Manufacturing Limited Mishal Ali signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Among others, Executive Director (Administration) Md. Zakir Hossain Chowdhury, Executive Director (Public Relations) Nazma Binte Alamgir and Executive Director (Enterprise Services) Md. Khorshid Alam of BEPZA were present at the signing ceremony.
