BJMC chief holds talks with JDPC entrepreneurs

A meeting between Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) and the small as well as medium entrepreneurs of Jute Diversification Promotion Centre (JDPC) was held on Monday at BJMC board room with BJMC Chairman Major General Humayan Khaled (retd) in the chair, says a press release.
Directors, secretary and other officials of both BJMC and Jute JDPC were present at the meeting along with some 40 small and medium entrepreneurs.
The BJMC chairman welcomed all and sought suggestions and opinions from the participants that will add value to take decisions. A power point presentation on diversified products of BJMC and the instructions of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina were also presented.
An open discussion was held and some recommendations were put forward on issues like dyeing, colour, lamination, unskilled labour, high cost of fabric, lack of subsidy, low profile design etc.
Mr Humayan Khaled closed the meeting with vote of thanks and ensured the participants that the recommendations will be implemented step by step.
