Border haat in Khagrachhari planned

The government is considering setting up one more border haat in Khagrachhari district aiming to expand local trade and contact between Bangladeshis and their Indian counterparts, a commerce ministry official said. The district magistrate of Khagrachhari has recently sent a proposal to the cabinet secretary and senior secretary of the ministry of commerce (MoC) asking for necessary steps, they said. The proposed Upzilas are Ramgor and Matiranga of Khagrachari district of the Chittagong Hill Tract, according to the proposal.    — FE Report
