CHITTAGONG, Jul 9: Official activities remained suspended on Thursday at the head office of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) as the employees and officers staged demonstration against alleged misbehaviour of two senior officials.
The employees and junior officers came out of the office and chanted slogan against director (finance) Md Abdur Rauf and secretary of the BPC Nurul Amin. The two joined the office recently on deputation.
The employees have alleged that the duo has misbehaved with general manager (marketing) of the BPC Abu Hanif on Thursday. The employees' association and officers' association have submitted a protest letter to the chairman of the BPC.
A committee has been constituted with director (traffic) of the BPC Mosleh Uddin to investigate and submit his findings with seven working days.
He said that there was misunderstanding among them on different issues. The head office of the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation is on the first floor of the BSC Bhaban of Bangladesh Shipping Corporation in front of Chittagong Port Authority head office at Saltgola in the city.
