The Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Nestle Bangladesh Limited in the city recently, aiming to provide improved services for local and foreign tourists, says a statement.
Under the MoU, the multinational food and beverages company will supply hygienic foods, bottled drinks, tea, coffee, confectionery and dairy products for the tourists.
BPC Chairman Akhtaruz Zaman Khan Kabir and Nestle Bangladesh Managing Director Deepal Abeywickrema signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations at a city hotel.
BPC Director (finance and administration) Md Shahadat Hossain presided over the signing ceremony.
BPC officials, including Director (commercial) Dr Md Ali Akbar and Director (planning) Md Abdus Sabur Mandal, and Nestle Bangladesh officials, including Head of Marketing Begum Shammi Rubayet Karim and Sales Director Iqbal Mahmud, were also present.
