BRAC Bank completes month-long training for CMSMEs in Sirajganj

BRAC Bank has recently completed a month-long intensive training for the promising entrepreneurs in the CMSME sector in Sirajganj.

BRAC Bank, with support from the Ministry of Finance and Bangladesh Bank, has completed a month-long intensive training for the promising entrepreneurs in the cottage, micro, small and medium enterprise (CMSME) sector in Sirajganj.
The Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance has initiated a capacity-building programme under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP), with technical and implementation support from Bangladesh Bank, to groom the country's up-and-coming entrepreneurs, says a press release.
The closing ceremony of the second batch of 'Entrepreneurship Development Programme' was held at a hotel in Sigajganj recently. Senior officials of Bangladesh Bank and BRAC Bank formally handed over the certificates to 25 participating entrepreneurs.
Nawshad Mustafa, Director, SME & Special Programmes Department, Bangladesh Bank, were present as the chief guest. Syed Abdul Momen, Additional Managing Director and Head of SME Banking, BRAC Bank; Md. Ayub Ali, Joint Director & Deputy Program Director (DPD), SME & Special Programmes Department, Bangladesh Bank, were special guests at the closing ceremony presided over by Biplab Kumar Biswas, Head of Small Business (North), SME Banking, BRAC Bank.
From BRAC Bank, S M Alomgir Hossain, Head of Small Business (Central) and Distributor Finance; Md. Nazrul Islam, Head of Small (South), Cottage & Micro Business; and Mahbubur Rahman, Head of Small (East), Liability & Chief Bancassurance Officer; were present. BRAC Bank has hosted the month-long training for CMSME entrepreneurs in Sirajganj City, featuring expert resource persons from Bangladesh Bank and BRAC Bank.
