The Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) is witnessing 'satisfactory' responses to its recently launched service of issuing company registration from its office.
Apart from the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC), the people have been enjoying the service of registering their companies at the DCCI Help Desk since its launching in September this year.
"Though the responses we got till now are not up to our expectation, it is obviously satisfactory," an official at the DCCI Help Desk told the FE Tuesday.
DCCI president Md Sabur Khan told the FE earlier on the sideline of a programme, "Anybody can get his/her company's registration within only four hours, if (s)he comes with necessary documents at the help desk."
Mr Khan urged the new entrepreneurs to avail themselves of the opportunity and move forward.
DCCI officials said the people, especially from the non-members of the chamber, mostly came to the desk to know about activities and services.
"From September 2 to November 5, 2013, around 35-40 name clearance services were provided while registrations of nearly 17 new companies were given and 12-15 businessmen submitted their companies' returns to the DCCI," Mokbul Ahmad, senior officer at the desk, said.
Mr Ahmad said that the entrepreneurs should come with necessary documents, specially memorandum and articles of association, Form IX duly filled up and subscribe page to get their businesses registratred within the shortest possible time.
If they bring these papers and submit fee within 11 am, it is possible to provide their registrations within only four hours, he added.
Sources at the DCCI said that the chamber is planning to further expand the services at its help desk, helping the businessmen and entrepreneurs to easily operate their businesses and thus contributing to the national economy.
