CAG submits audit reports to President

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of Bangladesh, Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury, hands over 39 audit and accounts reports to President Md Abdul Hamid on Sunday
The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of Bangladesh, Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury, submitted 39 audit and accounts reports to President Md Abdul Hamid on Sunday, says a press release.
The reports include two special audit reports, 34 compliance audit reports, two appropriation accounts reports and one finance accounts reports.
The CAG handed over these reports to the President and apprised him of the contents of the reports and different reform activities taken in the audit and accounts department.
President Abdul Hamid laid special emphasis on ensuring transparency and accountability through audit reports in the sphere of public money spending for public service delivery activities.
To that end, he mentioned that there is no alternative to the public servants being more careful about discharging their respective duties with honesty and sincerity.
During the handover of the reports, the CAG was accompanied by Khan Md. Ferdousur Rahman, Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General (Accounts and Report), Md. Ahsan Habib, Additional Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General (Parliament), and Md. Shariful Islam, Assistant Comptroller and Auditor General.
