CDA executes 40 dev projects in five years

CHITTAGONG, Sept 16 (BSS): The Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) has executed 22 development projects in the last five years and is executing another 18 projects.

Total financial involvement in the completed and under implementation projects is Tk 49.53 billion. The implementation works began from August 2009.

Of the 40 projects, 22 have been completed involving Tk 11.89 billion and 10 projects involving Tk 27.66 billion are nearing completion and implementation of other eight projects involving Tk 9.98 billion is under process.

In an interview with BSS, CDA Chairman Abdus Salam said the government had allotted Tk 40.09 billion against 28 projects during the last five years while the CDA spent the remaining Tk 9.44 billion from its own fund for 12 other schemes.
