Chartered Secretary Day today

The Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) will celebrate Chartered Secretary Day 2026 today (Tuesday), commemorating the enactment of the Chartered Secretaries Act, 2010, a landmark legislation that established and recognised the Chartered Secretary profession in Bangladesh.

The celebration aims to bring together founders, members, students, corporate leaders and other stakeholders to acknowledge the vital role of Chartered Secretaries in promoting corporate governance, regulatory compliance, ethical business practices and sustainable organisational development, says a press release.

The daylong programme will begin with a colourful rally from the National Museum, Shahbag to ICSB premises at Banglamotor in Dhaka. An evening programme will be held at IDEB Bhaban, featuring welcome remarks and reminiscences on the profession's development journey.
