CIRDAP organises e-learning for underprivileged children

The Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP), a regional intergovernmental and autonomous organisation, organised a one day e-learning workshop for underprivileged children in the city Friday. CIRDAP organised the workshop with an objective to develop their knowledge on different subjects by using internet, reports BSS.
About 20 children in the age group of 10-14 from Rayer Bazar area participated in the workshop to develop their ICT skills. They were trained to access e-learning software for learning English, Mathematics, Painting, Science and general knowledge in order to be updated with the world by using internet, said an official release of the organisation in the city Friday .
As part of its foundation day, the CIRDAP in collaboration with Spreeha Bangladesh Foundation and Integrated Solution for Creativity and Child Education (ISCCHE) organised the function.
The objective of the workshop is to empower the underprivileged children skills using the CIRDAP Information Communication Technology (ICT) lab.
The Director General of CIRDAP Dr Cecep Effendi inaugurated the programme and said CIRDAP is committed to eradicating poverty by empowering the poor people especially the children. We are very happy to arrange such types of training programme in CIRDAP, the director general added.
The programme will be arranged regularly in future for the benefit of the poor and underprivileged children.
As part of the programme the children enjoyed games like football, badminton in CIRDAP play ground in the city.
