Citibank, N.A. Bangladesh has recently hosted a roundtable on trade and payment digitisation with participation from regulators, local corporate and global subsidiaries, says a press release.
Speakers at the roundtable titled 'Resilience and Transformation in Turbulent Times' discussed various issues, including evolution of digital payments, current e-commerce landscape, future of trade, and global economic outlook.
Representatives from the a2i Programme and regulators from the central bank highlighted the government's vision of digitisation and social inclusion, and their assent to collaborate with Citi on developing solutions.
Md Moinul Huq, Citi Country Officer, Bangladesh, in his remarks, highlighted Citi's continuous endeavours on digitisation, innovation and replication of global best practices in local banking industry.
The event also showcased some of the Citi's new and innovative products, which simplify and improve payment processing and supply chain resilience, for clients.
Participants from Lightcastle Partners and Daraz Bangladesh spoke on the future of businesses operations backed by data and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
