Clean production brings laurel for DBL Group

Knit giant DBL Group has received a global award for its contribution to sustainable production.

The coveted Textile Institute Sustainability Award for Medals and Awards 2013 was presented to group at the 89th World Conference held in Wuhan, China on November 05, 2014, the company said in a statement.

The Sustainability Award is given to a business organisation that has had a demonstrable effect on sustainable policy and practices in textiles, clothing and footwear and in one or more of the following- sourcing, production, use, recycling and disposal. The institute began Award Medals in 1928 with the launch of the Honorary Fellowship.        

The Textile Institute's Medals and Awards are conferred upon individuals and organisations in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the textile world.

With International Headquarters in Manchester, UK, the Textile Institute is a unique membership organisation for textile professionals and serves textile related industries worldwide.

Established in 1910, the Institute was incorporated in England by a Royal Charter granted in 1925 and is a registered charity.
