Coast Guard signs deal for procuring two patrol boats

Bangladesh Coast Guard Director General Rear Admiral M Ashraful Haq, NUP, BCGM, ndc, afwc, psc was present as the chief guest at the signing ceremony held at the Bangladesh Coast Guard headquarters on Sunday

Bangladesh Coast Guard and Dockyard and Engineering Works Ltd, Narayanganj have signed an agreement on procurement of two new harbour patrol boats in the upcoming fiscal year (FY 2021-22).

Bangladesh Coast Guard Director General Rear Admiral M Ashraful Haq, NUP, BCGM, ndc, afwc, psc was present as the chief guest at the signing ceremony held at the Bangladesh Coast Guard headquarters on Sunday.

Media officer of the coast guard headquarters Lt Commander BN Amirul Haque made the disclosure, said a press release.

Commodore S M Moniruzzaman, managing director of Dockyard and Engineering Works, attended the event as a special guest.

Earlier, on 1 August 2018, the Dockyard and Engineering Works handed over two inshore patrol boats and two fast patrol boats to the coast guards.

Besides, the process is on to hand over two more inshore patrol boats and six big-sized high speed boats to the coast guards, the release added.
