A two-day policy-level conference on role of micro-finance institutes (MFIs) towards poverty alleviation will begin in the capital today (Saturday) with a view to brainstorming for effective development of the sector.

During the conference, a number of discussions and seminars over the issue will be held, where the government policymakers, prominent economists, micro-finance experts and the sector insiders will take part.
On the opening day, two sessions will be held at the PKSF Auditorium, where only micro-credit recipients, entrepreneurs and field-level officials will attend.
