CVO Petrochemical starts sales

CHITTAGONG, Apr 30: The CVO Petrochemical launched its sales programme formally Monday at the plant site in Nasirabad Industrial Area in the port city.
President of Chittagong City Awami League and former city mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury inaugurated the programme. During the launching ceremony 9,000 litres of MTT (mineral turpentine) were sold.
Moonstar Paints and Chemical Industries representative Morshedul Alam received the consignment. Managing Director of CVO Petrochemical AHM Habibullah, DMD Nizam Uddin Mahmud Hossain, CFO Mizanur Rahman Zabed, chief consultant AFM Ishaque, director Md Irfanul Hoque and other senior officials were also present.
Mohiuddin Chowdhury expressed the hope that the CVO Petrochemical would contribute a lot to the national economy.
Nizam Uddin Mahmud Hossain said the CVO Petrochemical had been paying all government dues and was bound to do the same in future.
Formerly Chittagong Vegetable Oil, the CVO Petrochemical Industries, now produces petrol, diesel, octane and MTT. It has the daily production capacity of 150 tonnes using 50,000 tonnes of gas condensate annually.
