DCCI-GEF agreement to boost trade, investment

Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and Global Economist Forum (GEF) agreed Saturday to work together for developing the country's trade and investment.
To push the move forward, the DCCI and GEF signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the day at the office of the trade body.
President of DCCI Mohammad Shahjahan Khan and President of GEF Dr Enayet Karim signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.
According to the MoU, DCCI and GEF will work together to increase the development of economic, trade and investment of the country.
The DCCI and GEF will also exchange information on national and international economics, investment regulations, export possibilities and import requirements on a regular basis.
Besides, the two organisations will also exchange publications, brochures and catalogues providing more information about overall economy and business sector of the country.
The DCCI president said under this agreement DCCI and GEF will work together to enhance the doing business situation in the country. He assured all sorts of cooperation from DCCI relating to this issue.
DCCI Vice President Kh Shahidul Islam, Directors Haider Ahmed Khan, FCA, Rizwan-Ur Rahman, Muktar Hossain Chowdhury, Hossain A Sikder, Abdus Salam, Md Shoaib Choudhury, AKD Khair Mohammad Khan, DCCI former Vice President M Abu Hurairah, DCCI Secretary AHM Rezaul Kabir and representatives from GEF, among others, were present.
