A two-day workshop, hosted by Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI), ended on Saturday, highlighting a comprehensive understanding of the public procurement process.
It broadly discussed the approval of procedure in line with the Public Procurement Rules 2008 and the Public Procurement Act 2006.
Thirty business professionals of different organisations took part in the 'Public Procurement and e-GP Tender Procedure' workshop from February 07-08 at DCCI Business Institute (DBI).
The programme discussed procurement activities by public agencies, procuring agencies, procuring entities and e-GP (electronic government procurement) system.
The participants laid emphasis on sharing their knowledge among themselves of the lessons they learned from the event.
Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology assistant registrar (procurement) Mohammad Mizanur Rahman conducted the workshop as a resource person.
DCCI vice-president Mohammad Bashiruddin, who attended the workshop as the chief guest, said e-GP tendering system is an important part of digital Bangladesh.
