Bangladesh wants Nepal to join the next Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting among Bangladesh, Bhutan and India to be held in New Delhi, aiming to enhance cooperation in the energy sector, reports UNB.
Nepalese Energy Minister Radha Kumari Gyawali already expressed willingness to join the meeting when Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali drew her attention to the matter during a meeting held at the Foreign Ministry in the capital on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the foreign minister said Bangladesh and Nepal enjoy friendly relations, and hoped that the bonding would get strengthened gradually, said a Foreign Ministry media release.  The two ministers discussed how Bangladesh and Nepal can cooperate with each other in the energy sector, especially cooperation in hydroelectricity generation.
