RAJSHAHI, Apr 1 (BSS): A three-day 'Divisional Digital Innovation Fair-2018' began at Rajshahi College playground on Sunday.
Latest ICT products, multi-media classroom, mobile banking and e-learning materials have been put on display at 54 stalls and three pavilions at the fair.
Speakers at the inaugural ceremony said the digitisation of both public and private services would lead the country to achieve double digit growth in the next few years.
They also viewed that the rate of technological advancement in Bangladesh is increasing day by day and the young generation can make it faster.
Divisional Administration arranged the fair in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and ICT and Prime Minister's office, A2i, with a view to encouraging people to use Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for building a 'Digital Bangladesh'.
The main theme of the fair is 'Present government is committed to building a Digital Bangladesh'.
Commissioner of Rajshahi division Nur-Ur-Rahman addressed the ceremony as the chief guest, with Additional Commissioner (General) Aminul Islam in the chair.
Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi SM Abdul Kader and Principal of Rajshahi College Prof Habibur Rahman spoke as special guests.
The chief guest said the government has been working sincerely for making all services available at the doorsteps of the people in a hassle-free manner.
