Md. Abdullah Al Mamun Dr Md. Abdullah Al Mamun has joined Janata Bank Limited, a leading state-owned bank of the country, as its Deputy Managing Director (DMD), says a press release.
Prior to this new appointment, Dr Abdullah was General Manager at Agrani Bank Limited's Industrial Credit Division. During his career he served at International Division, Treasury Division, SME, RCD, SFD, E&ED, PCSD (Common & Printing), CPCRMD, Credit Committee, etc.
He participated in trainings and workshops on banking profession at home and abroad including Nepal and Malaysia. He received his PhD degree from American Independent University, California (Department of Banking and Finance) in 2018 on The Industrial Credit Risk Management in Bangladesh.
He obtained his MBA degree from Asian University of Bangladesh in 2006 (Banking and Finance) and BSC degree in Civil Engineering from the BIT Khulna (now KUET) in 1987. Board of Directors of Agrani Bank gave him Appreciation Certificate for playing a key role in successful implementation of the Covid-19 stimulus package announced by the Prime Minister.
He was born in 1964 in a noble Muslim family in Kaliarchar village under Shahjadpur upazila of Sirajganj.
