Draft of Bangladesh Telecommunications Ordinance published

The Posts and Telecommunications Division has unveiled the draft of the "Bangladesh Telecommunication Ordinance 2025" and invited feedback from stakeholders and the general public, reports BSS.

The draft is now accessible on the division's official website for public review and comments, according to a press release issued on Wednesday by the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology.

The proposed ordinance introduces several fundamental and time-befitting amendments to the existing laws and policies, including a provision imposing restrictions on internet shutdowns.
