e-Commerce Day to be celebrated today

The e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) will celebrate e-Commerce Day today (Tuesday).
The key goals in celebrating this day are- spreading awareness among people about e-Commerce and motivating them to buy products through online platforms, organisers said on Monday, reports UNB.
e-CAB are also celebrating April as "e-commerce Month." Members of e-CAB are going to offer special discounts and gifts for online shoppers on this day.
Currently, more than 40 million people have access to the internet in Bangladesh. Of these, more than 10 million are Facebook users.
Comparatively, the number of online shoppers is very small. The vast majority of the population does not transact over online platforms.
To many, the current decade is the decade of Asian e-commerce sector. China has already replaced USA as the top e-commerce market in the world.
Indian e-Commerce sector also grew at a rapid pace over the last few years.
e-CAB is celebrating e-Commerce day to spread e-Commerce all over the country. The association will celebrate this day every year from now on.
Due to the existing situation of the country, e-CAB will also celebrate the e-Commerce Day event on April 10 at Startup Restaurant & Cafe in Sobhanbagh, Dhanmondi from 6 p.m. to 9 p m.
