The use of electronic recruitment system (e-recruitment) by government organisations to process job applications has ensured hassle-free and faster recruitment of manpower, officials said.
They said the web-based recruitment system 'E-recruitment.bcc.gov.bd' developed and introduced by Leveraging ICT for Growth, Employment and Governance (LICT) Project of Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) to process job applications online, reports UNB.
After successful online processing of 100,000 job applications against advertisements of 60 posts of 11 government agencies, other organisations are also showing keen interest to use the e-recruitment system, said project director of LICT Md Rezaul Karim.
According to a source, the Women and Children Affairs Ministry, Food Directorate and Jatiya Mahila Sangstha in separate letters have requested LICT Project of BCC to use its e-recruitment system to process the job applications online against vacancies in their respective organisations.
The e-recruitment system will reduce time and hassle of job applications and result processing and increase exam management quality, said Rezaul Karim.
He said the employers can conduct evaluation test of jobseekers with a provision of automated result processing using BCC's e-recruitment system.
LICT Deputy Project Director Tarique M Barkatullah said the e-recruitment system platform, developed in line with the digital Bangladesh initiatives, has processed over 100,000 jobseekers' applications very successfully and efficiently.
