EGM of Jamuna Oil Company held on virtual platform

The Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of Jamuna Oil Company Limited was held on a virtual platform on Saturday.
The EGM was presided over by Md. Eunusur Rahman, former Senior Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance, and Chairman of the JOCL Board.
The meeting attended by the members of the Board of Directors includes Director Dr. Nurun Nahar Chowdhury, NDC (Secretary, Ministry of Shipping), Muhammad Ashraf Hossain, Director (Marketing) and Joint Secretary, Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation, Md. Shamsul Alam Bhuiyan, engineer Manzarey Khorshed Alam, and engineer Sheikh Al Amin.
Independent Directors Kaosar Zahura, and Saleh Ahmed Khasru, Managing Director engineer Md. Amir Masud and Company Secretary Md. Masudul Islam were also present.
In the EGM, the proposal to change the name of the company was unanimously approved as a Special Resolution. In accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act, 1994 (Second Amendment, 2020), a decision was made to change the registered name of the institution from 'Jamuna Oil Company Limited' to 'Jamuna Oil PLC'.
