Emirates, Angola\\\'s TAAG join hands

Transport Minister of Angola Augusto da Silva Tomás and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum signing a Management Concession Agreement on behalf of their respective sides in Dubai recently.

From now on Emirates Airline will work closely with the Angolan government and TAAG Linhas Aéreas De Angola to formulate and implement a business plan.

In this connection, a 10-year Management Concession Agreement was signed between Emirates and the Republic of Angola in Dubai recently, said a press release.

Transport Minister of Angola Augusto da Silva Tomás and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum signed deal on behalf of their respective sides.

The agreement will enable both the airlines to jointly leverage commercial opportunities in Africa and beyond.

Under the deal, Emirates will work closely with the Angolan government and TAAG Linhas Aéreas De Angola to formulate and implement a business plan, provide management support and devise fleet and route network strategies, whilst bringing synergy through the complementary networks.

Both airlines will also cooperate across a wide range of areas including bilateral code-sharing on cargo and passenger services, participation of customers in both airlines' frequent flyer programmes and passenger and cargo handling.
