EU eager to train BD sailors, crew

European Union (EU) has expressed its willingness to train the sailors and crew of Bangladesh to make them efficient.

EU Delegation chief Pierre Mayaudon expressed the willingness during a meeting with Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan in the city on Wednesday, reports BSS.

During the meeting, the EU envoy appreciated Bangladesh for exporting ships to different European countries.

He talked on the prospect of Bangladesh's blue economy and the work environment and safety issues in garment industry.

Senior officials of shipping ministry were present during the meeting.
